5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On and Warm-up
- Turn On: Locate the power switch on the side of the laminator. Set it to the "HOT" (II) position for hot lamination or "COLD" (I) for cold lamination. The "Power" indicator light (red) will illuminate.
- Warm-up: For hot lamination, allow the machine to warm up for approximately 3-5 minutes. The "Ready" indicator light (green) will illuminate when the laminator has reached the optimal operating temperature. For cold lamination, no warm-up time is required; the machine is ready immediately after switching to "COLD".

5.2 Lamination Process (Hot Lamination)
Ensure the "Ready" light is green before proceeding.
- Prepare Document: Place your document neatly inside a lamination pouch, ensuring it is centered and there is an even border around the edges.
- Insert Pouch: Insert the sealed edge of the lamination pouch into the document entry slot. The laminator will automatically feed the pouch through.
- Retrieve Document: The laminated document will exit from the rear slot. Allow it to cool on a flat surface before handling to ensure proper sealing.
5.3 Lamination Process (Cold Lamination)
Cold lamination uses self-adhesive pouches and does not require heat. This is suitable for heat-sensitive documents.
- Prepare Document: Place your document inside a cold lamination pouch according to the pouch manufacturer's instructions.
- Insert Pouch: With the power switch set to "COLD" (I), insert the sealed edge of the cold lamination pouch into the document entry slot.
- Retrieve Document: The laminated document will exit from the rear slot.
5.4 Jam Release (ABS Function)
In the event of a document jam, immediately press and hold the "ABS" (Anti-Blocking System) switch located at the rear of the laminator. This will release the rollers, allowing you to gently pull the jammed pouch out of the entry slot. Release the ABS switch once the pouch is removed.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your laminator.
- Cleaning: Ensure the laminator is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Roller Cleaning: Occasionally, run a cleaning sheet (available separately) through the laminator to remove any adhesive residue from the rollers.
- Storage: When not in use, store the laminator in a dry, dust-free environment.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Laminator does not turn on. | No power supply. | Check power cable connection and wall outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the "HOT" or "COLD" position. |
| "Ready" light does not turn green (Hot Lamination). | Not enough warm-up time. | Allow 3-5 minutes for the laminator to heat up. If it still doesn't turn green after 10 minutes, contact support. |
| Document jam. | Pouch inserted incorrectly or too thick. | Immediately press and hold the ABS switch to release the rollers. Gently pull out the jammed pouch. Ensure pouches are inserted sealed-edge first and are within thickness limits. |
| Poor lamination quality (bubbles, cloudy). | Incorrect temperature setting or pouch thickness. | Ensure the correct temperature setting for your pouch thickness. Use high-quality lamination pouches. Allow the machine to fully warm up. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
