1. Introduction

The Elation Professional SDC-6 v2 is a compact and versatile 6-channel DMX controller designed for easy operation of DMX-compatible lighting fixtures. It features six individual channel faders and one master fader, providing intuitive control over various lighting effects. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your SDC-6 v2 controller, including setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2. Safety Instructions

Please read these safety instructions carefully before operating the device. Failure to comply may result in damage to the unit, property, or personal injury.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all items listed below are present and in good condition upon opening the package:

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your SDC-6 v2 DMX controller:

  1. Placement: Place the controller on a stable, flat surface away from excessive heat, moisture, or dust.
  2. DMX Connection: Connect the 3-pin DMX output connector of the SDC-6 v2 to the DMX input of your first DMX-compatible lighting fixture. If you have multiple fixtures, daisy-chain them by connecting the DMX output of the first fixture to the DMX input of the second, and so on.

5. Operating Instructions

The SDC-6 v2 provides straightforward control over your DMX lighting fixtures.

5.1. Channel Faders (1-6)

Each of the six numbered faders (1 through 6) corresponds to a DMX channel. Moving a fader up increases the DMX value for that channel (from 0 to 255), while moving it down decreases the value. The specific function of each channel (e.g., dimmer, color, strobe) depends on the DMX address and mode settings of your connected lighting fixture.

5.2. Master Fader

The Master fader controls the overall output level of all active DMX channels. Moving the Master fader down will dim or turn off all lights controlled by the individual channel faders, regardless of their individual settings. Moving it up will restore the output to the levels set by the individual channel faders.

5.3. Power Indicator

The Power indicator LED illuminates when the unit is receiving power, indicating it is ready for operation.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your SDC-6 v2 controller.
