Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safety and stability of your television. It is recommended to have a second person assist with lifting the TV during the final steps. Ensure you have a drill, level, and stud finder available.
- Prepare the TV: Before mounting, connect all necessary cables (HDMI, power, etc.) to your TV. Accessing the back of the TV can be difficult once mounted due to the ultra-slim profile.
- Attach TV Brackets: Secure the black TV mounting brackets to the back of your television using the provided M8 screws and appropriate washers/spacers. Ensure the hanging wires are correctly positioned and secured.
- Determine Wall Mounting Location: Identify the desired height and center point for your TV on the wall. Use a stud finder to locate wall studs. For optimal security, it is highly recommended to mount the wall discs directly into wall studs. If mounting into drywall without studs, consider using heavy-duty drywall anchors (not always included, and may require separate purchase for enhanced security).
- Install Wall Mounting Discs: Mark the positions for the two silver wall mounting discs. Drill pilot holes and securely fasten the discs to the wall using the provided screws and anchors. Use a level to ensure the discs are perfectly aligned horizontally.
- Hang the TV: With assistance, carefully lift the television and align the hanging wires from the TV brackets with the wall mounting discs. Gently lower the TV, allowing the wires to engage with the discs, effectively hanging the TV like a picture frame.
- Secure the TV (Optional but Recommended): Some TVs may include an additional anchor point for added security. If available, utilize this feature to further secure the bottom of the TV to the wall.
Operating Instructions
The Mount-It! ML1 features a unique "kick-stand" lever designed to facilitate access to the TV's rear ports.
- Using the Kick-Stand: To access cables or ports on the back of your mounted TV, gently pull the bottom of the TV away from the wall. Insert the metal kick-stand lever into the designated slot on the TV bracket. This will prop the TV slightly forward, providing space to reach connections.
- Removing the Kick-Stand: Once you have finished accessing the cables, remove the kick-stand lever and gently push the TV back against the wall until it rests flush.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your wall mount.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the mount components. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically inspect all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Check for any signs of wear or damage to the hanging wires or brackets.
Troubleshooting
- TV Not Level: Re-check the horizontal alignment of the wall mounting discs using a level. Adjust as necessary. Ensure the TV brackets are securely and evenly attached to the TV.
- Difficulty Hanging TV: Ensure the hanging wires are fully extended and properly aligned with the wall discs. Verify that the TV's weight and VESA pattern are within the mount's specifications.
- Mount Does Not Fit TV: Confirm your TV's VESA mounting pattern (distance between screw holes on the back of the TV) is 400x400mm. This mount is specifically designed for this standard and for Samsung LED TVs between 40-55 inches.
- Limited Cable Access: Utilize the integrated kick-stand feature as described in the Operating Instructions section. If cables were not connected prior to mounting, this feature will provide temporary access.
