Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Pump not priming Insufficient water in pump casing; Air leak in suction line; Suction lift too high. Ensure pump casing is full; Check all suction hose connections for tightness; Reduce suction lift (max 26 ft).
Low pressure/flow Clogged suction strainer; Partially closed discharge valve; Engine running at low RPM. Clean suction strainer; Fully open discharge valve; Increase engine throttle.
Engine won't start No fuel; Engine switch OFF; Choke not set; Old fuel. Add fresh fuel; Turn engine switch ON; Adjust choke; Drain old fuel and refill.
Excessive vibration Loose mounting bolts; Pump not on level surface. Tighten all mounting bolts; Ensure pump is on a stable, level surface.
