- Camera Body: Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution.
- Lens: Use a lens brush to remove dust, then gently wipe with a lens cleaning cloth and lens cleaning solution.
- Image Sensor: Cleaning the sensor should be done with extreme care. If dust spots appear on your images, it is recommended to use the camera's built-in sensor cleaning function or have it professionally cleaned.
8.2. Battery Care
- Charge the battery fully before first use.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Do not expose batteries to extreme heat or cold.
8.3. Storage
When storing the camera for extended periods, remove the battery and memory card. Store the camera in a dry, well-ventilated area, preferably in a camera bag with desiccant to prevent mold and mildew.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Camera does not power on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check if the battery contacts are clean.
- Cannot take pictures: Check if a memory card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Ensure the lens cap is removed.
- Images are blurry: Check focus settings. Ensure image stabilization is active if shooting handheld in low light. Use a faster shutter speed or tripod if necessary.
- Memory card error: Reinsert the memory card. Try a different, compatible SD/SDHC card. Format the card (this will erase all data).
- Flash does not fire: Check flash mode settings. Ensure the flash is raised if it's a pop-up type.
