Setup
1. Power Connection
The Orbita Siena Three Burl Watchwinder can be powered by either the supplied AC/DC adapter or "C" cell alkaline batteries.
- AC Power: Connect the supplied AC/DC adapter to the power input port on the back of the watchwinder and then plug it into a standard wall outlet.
- Battery Power: If using batteries, open the battery compartment (usually located on the bottom or back of the unit). Insert the required "C" cell alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. A "low" battery light will indicate when replacement is due.
2. Watch Placement
The watchwinder features an open-face design to accommodate various watch sizes. To place a watch:
- Gently open the lid of the watchwinder.
- Secure your automatic watch onto one of the winding cushions. Ensure the watch is snug but not overly tight.
- Place the cushion with the watch into one of the winding rotors.
- Repeat for additional watches.

Operation
The Orbita Siena Three Burl Watchwinder features user-programmable controls to optimize winding for different automatic watch movements.
Programming Winding Cycles (TPD) and Direction
Each winding rotor is independently programmable via a micro-switch panel. Consult your watch manufacturer's specifications for the recommended Turns Per Day (TPD) and winding direction (clockwise, counter-clockwise, or bi-directional).
The watchwinder offers the following winding cycles:
- TPD Options: 500, 650, 800, 950, 1300 Turns Per Day
- Direction Options: Clockwise, Counter-clockwise, Bi-directional
To set the desired TPD and direction:
- Locate the micro-switch panel for the specific rotor you wish to program. This is typically found near or under each winding module.
- Adjust the switches according to the instructions provided on the panel or in a separate quick-start guide (if applicable) to select the appropriate TPD and winding direction for your watch.
- Once programmed, the winder will begin its cycle. The motor oscillates by single revolution with low current draw.
Note: Incorrect TPD or winding direction will not harm your watch but may not keep it fully wound.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the watchwinder with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- For stubborn marks on the high-gloss lacquered burlwood, use a slightly damp cloth and immediately dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- The black suede lined interior can be gently brushed with a soft brush to remove dust.
Battery Replacement
- When the "low" battery indicator light illuminates, it is time to replace the batteries.
- Open the battery compartment and replace all "C" cell alkaline batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
- Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
Lid Lock
Use the provided key to lock and unlock the watchwinder lid for added security. Turn the key gently to avoid damage to the lock mechanism.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Winder is not operating. | No power, batteries depleted, or AC adapter not connected properly. | Check AC adapter connection. If using batteries, replace them. Ensure the "low" battery light is off. |
| Watch is not staying wound. | Incorrect TPD or winding direction setting for the watch. | Consult your watch manufacturer's specifications and adjust the TPD and direction settings on the winder accordingly. |
| Winder makes unusual noise. | Watch not seated properly, or internal mechanism issue. | Ensure watches are securely placed on cushions. If noise persists, contact customer support. |
| Lid lock is stiff. | Dust or minor misalignment. | Apply a small amount of graphite powder to the key or lock mechanism. Do not force the key. |
