2. Safety Information

3. Setup
3.1. Installing Batteries

The Easy Auto Mode automatically detects the scene and applies optimal settings.
- Turn on the camera. It will typically start in Easy Auto Mode.
- Frame your subject using the 3.0-inch LCD monitor.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The camera will beep when focus is achieved, and a green focus indicator will appear.
- Press the shutter button all the way down to take the picture.

4.2. Zoom Operation
Use the zoom control lever located around the shutter button to adjust the focal length.
- Push the lever towards W (Wide) to zoom out.
- Push the lever towards T (Telephoto) to zoom in.
4.3. Flash Modes
The built-in flash has several modes. Press the flash button (often part of the multi-selector) to cycle through modes:
