Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging and remove all packing materials.
2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from flammable materials.
3. Initial Use: Before first use, operate the toaster without bread for two cycles at the highest shade setting to burn off any manufacturing residues. This may produce a slight odor, which is normal. Ensure adequate ventilation.
4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

General Toasting

1. Insert up to two slices of bread into the toasting slots.
2. Select your desired shade setting using the shade control knob. Settings range from light to dark.
3. Press the carriage lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.
4. Once the desired shade is achieved, the toast will automatically pop up.

Bagel Function

The Bagel function is designed to toast the cut side of bagels while gently warming the outer side.

1. Insert sliced bagels into the toasting slots with the cut side facing inwards.
2. Select your desired shade setting.
3. Press the carriage lever down.
4. Press the BAGEL button. The blue LED indicator light will illuminate.
5. The toaster will complete the cycle, and the bagels will pop up.

Defrost Function

Use the Defrost function to toast frozen bread products.

1. Insert frozen bread into the toasting slots.
2. Select your desired shade setting.
3. Press the carriage lever down.
4. Press the DEFROST button. The blue LED indicator light will illuminate.
5. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to account for frozen items, then pop them up when done.

Cancel Function

To stop the toasting cycle at any time, simply press the CANCEL button. The carriage will immediately raise, and the toaster will turn off.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Unplug: Always unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Reinsert the crumb tray securely.
3. Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
4. Never Immerse: Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.

Troubleshooting

• Toaster does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
• Bread is not toasting evenly: Ensure bread slices are centered in the slots. The self-centering guides should adjust automatically. If using the Bagel function, ensure the cut side is facing inwards.
