Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the internal rechargeable Li-Polymer battery. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC input jack on the player and then to a wall outlet. 2. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the POWER button on the unit or remote control to turn the player on or off.

3. Connecting to External Devices

  • External Display/Home Theater: Use the supplied AV cable to connect the player's AV OUT jack to the AV input jacks on your television or home theater system.
  • External Video Source: To display video from an external device (e.g., a video game console or VCR) on the player's screen, connect the external device's AV output to the player's AV IN jack using the appropriate cable.

Operating Instructions

1. Inserting a Disc

  1. Gently open the disc compartment cover.
  2. Place a DVD or CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the disc compartment cover firmly until it clicks.

2. Playing DVDs/CDs

  • After inserting a disc, the player will typically begin playback automatically.
  • Use the PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback.
  • Press the STOP button to halt playback.
  • Use the SKIP buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to navigate between tracks or chapters.
  • Adjust the volume using the VOL +/- buttons.
  • Access disc menus, subtitles, audio languages, and camera angles using the MENU and other dedicated buttons on the remote control.

3. Using USB Drives and SD Cards

  • Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD CARD slot.
  • The player will automatically detect the media and display a menu for file selection.
  • Navigate through folders and files using the directional buttons and ENTER button on the unit or remote.
  • Supported formats include MP3 for audio, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 for video, and JPG for photos.

4. Swivel Screen Operation

The screen can be rotated up to 180 degrees. Gently pivot the screen clockwise or counter-clockwise to achieve your desired viewing angle. Avoid excessive force when rotating the screen.

5. Headphone Use

Connect standard 3.5mm headphones to either of the two headphone jacks for private audio listening. The built-in speakers will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

6. Parental Lock Control

The player includes a parental lock feature to restrict access to certain content. Refer to the on-screen setup menu for instructions on how to activate and configure this feature.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

  • Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • For the LCD screen, use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for electronics screens.
  • To clean the disc lens, use a specialized DVD/CD lens cleaning disc.

Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the unit for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every few months to maintain battery health.
