4. Setup

4.1. Installing Batteries

  1. For Push Buttons:
    • Open the battery compartment on the back of each push button.
    • Insert the included 2 x CR2 batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
    • Close the battery compartment securely.
  2. For Receiver:
    • Open the battery compartment on the back of the receiver unit.
    • Insert 2 x AA 1.5V batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity (+/-).
    • Close the battery compartment securely.

4.2. Mounting the Units

The wireless design allows for flexible placement. Consider the 300m transmission range when choosing locations.

  1. Receiver Placement:
    • Place the receiver indoors in a central location where the chime can be heard throughout your desired area.
    • It can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall using the provided screws.
  2. Push Button Placement:
    • Mount each push button near your desired entrance (e.g., front door, back door).
    • Use the provided screws or adhesive pads to secure the push button to a flat, clean surface. Ensure the surface is smooth and dry before applying adhesive.
    • Avoid mounting on metal surfaces, which can interfere with the wireless signal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Pairing Push Buttons with Receiver (Pre-paired from factory)

The push buttons and receiver are typically pre-paired at the factory. If they do not work out of the box, or if you need to re-pair them, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure both the receiver and push buttons have fresh batteries.
  2. On the receiver, locate the pairing button (often a small hole requiring a pin or paperclip, or a dedicated button).
  3. Press and hold the pairing button on the receiver for a few seconds until an indicator light flashes or a sound is emitted, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  4. Within 10 seconds, press one of the push buttons. The receiver should chime or flash to confirm successful pairing.
  5. Repeat for the second push button if necessary.

5.2. Changing Chime Tunes

The doorbell offers a choice of 36 tunes.
