3. Setup
- Battery Installation: If the battery is not pre-installed, open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the included Lithium-metal battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.

- Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets or soft flooring, as this can affect measurement accuracy.

4. Operating Instructions
- Activating the Scale: The Beurer GS 14 scale uses a vibration sensor for activation. Gently tap the center of the scale with your foot or step onto it. The display will show "0.0" or "0.00".

- Taking a Measurement: Once "0.0" or "0.00" is displayed, step onto the scale barefoot and stand still. Your weight will be displayed within a few seconds.
- Automatic Shut-off: The scale will automatically turn off after approximately 10 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.
5. Unit Conversion
The Beurer GS 14 scale can display weight in kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), or stones (st). To change the unit:
- Locate the unit conversion button on the underside of the scale, usually near the battery compartment.
- Press the button to cycle through the available units (kg, lb, st). The selected unit will be shown on the display.
6. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Clean the scale surface with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or immerse the scale in water.
