6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ceiling fan.

  • Cleaning: To clean the fan, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
  • Bulb Replacement: Disconnect power before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely. Replace with three A19 Medium 60-watt incandescent bulbs or compatible LED lamps.
  • Tighten Screws: Periodically check and tighten all screws on the fan blades and motor housing to prevent wobbling and noise.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your ceiling fan, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Fan Does Not Start: Check that the circuit breaker is on and the wall switch (if applicable) is in the ON position. Ensure all wire connections are secure.
  • Light Does Not Work: Verify that the light pull chain is in the ON position. Check bulbs for proper installation and ensure they are not burnt out. Confirm wiring connections to the light kit.
  • Fan Wobbles: Ensure all blade screws are tight. Check that the mounting bracket is securely fastened to the ceiling. Verify that the blades are not bent or damaged.
  • Noisy Operation: Confirm all screws are tight. Check for any loose parts or obstructions.
