1. Product Overview

2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The scale requires 2 AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2.2 Scale Placement
For accurate readings, place the scale on a hard, flat surface such as tile or linoleum. Avoid placing it on carpet or uneven flooring, as this can affect accuracy.

2.3 Unit Selection
The scale can display weight in pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg). To switch between units, locate the unit conversion button on the underside of the scale, usually near the battery compartment. Press the button to toggle between 'lb' and 'kg'.
3. Operating Instructions
The EatSmart Precision Plus Digital Bathroom Scale features 'Step-On' technology for immediate weight measurement.
- Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface.
- Gently step onto the center of the scale platform. The display will activate and show '0.0 lb' (or '0.0 kg') before displaying your weight.
- Stand still on the scale until your weight reading stabilizes and flashes.
- Step off the scale. The reading will remain on the display for approximately 10 seconds before the scale automatically shuts off to conserve battery life.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean your scale, wipe it with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.
4.2 Battery Replacement
When the display shows a low battery indicator or becomes dim, it's time to replace the batteries. Refer to Section 2.1 for battery installation instructions. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries.
