Safety Information

Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection when operating the nailer. Disconnect the air supply before performing any adjustments, maintenance, or when clearing jams. Never point the tool at yourself or others. Ensure the work area is clear of obstructions and bystanders.

Setup

1. Connecting to Air Supply

Ensure your air compressor is set to the recommended operating pressure (70-120 PSI). Connect the air hose to the nailer's air inlet. It is recommended to add 2-3 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before connecting the air hose to lubricate internal components.

2. Loading Nails

Pull back the magazine follower until it locks. Insert a strip of 21-degree plastic collated full round head framing nails (2" – 3-1/2" L, 0.113" – 0.131" diameter) into the magazine, ensuring the nail points are facing down. Release the magazine follower to secure the nails.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NuMax SFR2190 nailer. Always disconnect the air supply before performing any maintenance.

1. Oiling

Add 2-3 drops of pneumatic tool oil to the air inlet daily or before each use, especially during prolonged operation. This lubricates the internal components and prevents wear.

2. Cleaning

Keep the tool clean and free of debris. Regularly inspect the contact tip and magazine for any build-up that might hinder operation. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the tool.

Troubleshooting

For common issues such as nails jamming or misfiring, refer to the comprehensive Troubleshooting Guide (PDF). Ensure nails are loaded correctly (points down) and that the air pressure is within the recommended range.
