2. Initial Time Setting / Radio Wave Reception

After installing batteries, the clock will automatically attempt to receive the radio time signal. Place the clock in a location where it can easily receive radio waves, typically near a window and away from electronic devices (e.g., TVs, computers, mobile phones) that may cause interference. The clock will adjust to the correct time once the signal is successfully received. This process may take several minutes. If reception is poor, try moving the clock to a different location.

3. Mounting the Clock

Choose a suitable wall location that is sturdy enough to support the clock's weight (approximately 12.3 pounds or 5.6 kg). Use a sturdy screw or hook appropriate for wall mounting. Hang the clock securely using the hanging slot located on the back of the clock.

Operating Instructions

1. Time Display and Wave Symphony Mechanism

The clock features an analog display with hour, minute, and second hands. On the hour, the unique 'Wave Symphony' mechanism activates. The clock face segments will move, revealing the numbers and an intricate internal design, while a melody plays.

2. Melody Function

The clock plays a melody on the hour. The melodies rotate automatically through a selection of pre-programmed tunes. The volume can be adjusted using the control dial located on the back of the clock. The melody function is automatically suppressed in dark environments by the light sensor to ensure quiet operation at night.

3. Light Sensor / Sleep Second Hand

The built-in light sensor detects ambient light levels. In low light conditions (e.g., at night), the clock's melody function will be automatically suppressed, and the second hand will stop moving (Sleep Second Hand function) to conserve battery life and ensure a quiet environment. The second hand will resume normal movement when sufficient light is detected.

4. Radio Wave Correction Function

The clock is equipped with a radio wave correction function (40 kHz/60 kHz). It automatically receives standard time signals to maintain accurate time. If the signal reception is consistently poor, the clock will operate with standard quartz accuracy. Ensure the clock is placed in an optimal location for signal reception.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the clock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

2. Battery Replacement

Replace all four D batteries approximately once a year, or when the clock's functions (e.g., melody, timekeeping accuracy, second hand movement) begin to falter. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type and brand to ensure optimal performance.
