Maintenance

Cleaning the Camera

  • Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for camera lenses. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
  • Body: Wipe the camera body with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use organic solvents.
  • LCD Screen: Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid pressing hard on the screen.

Storage

When not in use, store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if the camera will not be used for an extended period.

Battery Care

Always use the recommended battery type. Charge the battery fully before use. Avoid exposing batteries to extreme heat or cold.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera does not power on: Ensure the battery is correctly inserted and fully charged.
  • Images are blurry: Check if Dual Image Stabilization is active. Ensure sufficient lighting. For long zoom shots, consider using a tripod.
  • Slow shutter response: In some conditions, focusing may take longer. Ensure adequate light and contrast for the autofocus system.
  • Dark photos in bright sunlight: When shooting with the sun directly in front, photos may appear dark even with flash. Adjust shooting angle or use Shadow Adjustment Technology.
  • LCD screen is blank: Try powering the camera off and on. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Off-center tripod mount: Be aware that the tripod mount is off-center, which may affect balance on smaller tripods.
