- First Brew Cycle (Water Only):

- Allow the full cycle to complete. Once finished, discard the hot water from the carafe.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to brew a fresh pot of coffee:
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to your desired level using the Dual Water Window for accurate measurement. Do not exceed the 12-cup MAX line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place a standard paper filter (basket-style) into the Lift & Clean Filter Basket. Add your preferred amount of ground coffee. A general guideline is one tablespoon of coffee per cup, but adjust to your taste.
- Position Filter Basket and Carafe: Ensure the filter basket is securely in place and close the top lid. Place the empty glass carafe onto the warming plate.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into an electrical outlet. Press the ON/OFF switch. The Power ON/OFF Indicator light will glow, indicating that the brewing cycle has begun.
- Grab-A-Cup Auto Pause: If you need a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is complete, you can temporarily remove the carafe. The Grab-A-Cup Auto Pause feature will stop the flow of coffee. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 30 seconds to resume brewing and prevent overflow.
- Serving: Once the brewing cycle is complete, the coffee maker will keep the coffee warm on the warming plate. The Power ON/OFF Indicator light will remain on until you manually turn off the appliance.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee maker.
- Daily Cleaning:
- After each use, unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool.
- Remove the Lift & Clean Filter Basket and discard the used coffee grounds and paper filter. Wash the filter basket and glass carafe in warm, soapy water. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker and the warming plate with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal): Over time, mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 3-6 months, or more frequently in hard water areas.
- Fill the water reservoir with 4 cups of undiluted white household vinegar.
- Place an empty paper filter in the filter basket and close the lid.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Turn on the coffee maker and let it brew half of the vinegar solution into the carafe.
- Turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 30 minutes to allow the vinegar to clean the deposits.
- Turn the coffee maker back on and brew the remaining vinegar solution.
- Once the cycle is complete, discard the vinegar solution.
- Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste or odor.
