1. Introduction and Overview

2. Setup and Adjustments

2.1 Armrests

The wheelchair features flip-back full-length armrests. These armrests extend close to the seat, providing support for transfers. To move the armrest out of the way, press the button located on the armrest support and lift the armrest. This allows for easier side transfers without needing to come to a full stand. Typically, moving the wheel bolt to a higher hole will lower the seat height by approximately two inches. After adjusting the rear wheels, ensure the front caster wheels are also adjusted to a corresponding height to maintain a level seating position. Re-tighten all bolts securely.

2.4 Leg Rests and Footrests

The wheelchair comes with elevating swing-away leg rests. To engage the elevating feature, simply lift the leg rest, and it will automatically lock into position. To disengage and lower it, push the lever on the side of the leg rest. To swing the leg rests out of the way or remove them entirely, locate the small tab on the leg rest attachment point. Push this tab to release the leg rest, allowing it to swing outwards or be detached completely. This facilitates easier transfers and maneuverability in tight spaces.

2.5 Seat Depth Adjustment

To do this, locate the Velcro flap underneath the front edge of the seat. Unfasten the Velcro, and you will find a bolt. Unscrew this bolt, extend the seat fabric forward, and re-secure the bolt into the new position. Re-fasten the Velcro flap. This adjustment provides increased comfort and support for taller users.

3. Operating the Wheelchair

Before each use, ensure all components, especially the wheel locks, are functioning correctly. Always engage the wheel locks when transferring into or out of the wheelchair to prevent accidental movement. When being pushed, ensure the user's feet are securely on the footrests. For self-propelling, use the hand rims on the large rear wheels. The lightweight design and Mag-style wheels contribute to smooth maneuverability.
