Setup

Battery Installation

The alarm module is designed for easy replacement. To install or replace the CR2 battery, access the alarm module. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the battery. After battery installation, the unit will self-arm within 15 seconds, indicated by a short beep.

Initial Test

To test the alarm function, gently move the locked unit. The shock and motion sensors should trigger the 120dB alarm. This confirms the alarm system is operational.

Unlocking the Device

Alarm Functionality

The integrated alarm system features shock and motion sensors. If the locked device detects movement or tampering, it will trigger a loud 120dB alarm. The alarm will sound for a period and then automatically reset to armed mode if no further movement is detected.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The Xena XX6-SS uses one CR2 Lithium battery. Replace the battery when the alarm sounds weak or false alarms occur, as low current can cause malfunctions. Typical battery life is approximately 6 months. To replace, access the alarm module and insert a new CR2 battery, observing correct polarity.

Cleaning

Keep the unit clean, especially the reflector plate, as dirt can cause the alarm to malfunction. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid exposing the unit to excessive moisture. Rain can cause false alarms; if wet, remove and dry the unit thoroughly before re-arming.

Lubrication

Periodically lubricate the key insertion opening and internal moving parts with powdered graphite to ensure smooth operation and prevent seizing.
