Setup

Before First Use

  1. Unpack the slow cooker and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Wash the stoneware crock and glass lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are also dishwasher safe.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly and use.

Operating Instructions

Cooking Process

  1. Place the stoneware crock into the heating base.
  2. Add your ingredients to the stoneware crock. Do not overfill; leave at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the top rim to allow for steam.
  3. Place the glass lid on the stoneware crock.
  4. Plug the slow cooker into a standard electrical outlet.
  5. Turn the control knob to the desired setting: LOW, HIGH, or KEEP WARM.
  6. Cook for the recommended time according to your recipe.
  7. Once cooking is complete, turn the control knob to OFF and unplug the unit.

Temperature Settings

  • OFF: Turns the slow cooker off.
  • KEEP WARM: Maintains food at a safe serving temperature after cooking. Do not use this setting for cooking raw food.
  • LOW: For slow, gentle cooking over an extended period. Ideal for tenderizing meats and developing flavors.
  • HIGH: For faster cooking. One hour on HIGH is approximately equal to 2 to 2.5 hours on LOW.

Using the Lid Latch Strap

The Lid Latch strap is designed to secure the lid during transport, preventing spills. To use, place the strap over the lid and secure it to the handles on the heating base. Ensure the lid is properly seated before latching the strap.

Care and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your slow cooker.

  1. Always turn the control knob to OFF and unplug the slow cooker before cleaning. Allow the unit to cool completely.
  2. The stoneware crock and glass lid are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  3. To clean the heating base, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid.
  4. For stubborn food residue on the stoneware crock, fill it with warm, soapy water and let it soak for a few hours before cleaning.
