Operating Instructions
General Operation
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Locate the large, dust-sealed ON/OFF switch on the top of the unit.
- Press the switch to the "ON" position to start the vacuum.
- To stop the vacuum, press the switch to the "OFF" position.
Dry Vacuuming
For dry debris pickup, ensure the cartridge filter is clean and properly installed. This vacuum is suitable for cleaning bare floors, garages, and other dry surfaces.
Wet Vacuuming
Before wet vacuuming, remove the cartridge filter and install the foam filter. The vacuum is designed to pick up liquids. When the liquid reaches a predetermined level, the float mechanism will rise and shut off the suction. This indicates the tank is full and needs to be emptied.
- To empty the tank after wet pickup, unplug the unit and locate the extra large drain port at the bottom of the canister.
- Remove the drain cap and tilt the canister to allow the liquid to drain out.
Maintenance
Filter Cleaning and Replacement
- Cartridge Filter (Dry): Tap off loose dirt or rinse with water. Allow to air dry completely before reinstallation. Replace if damaged or suction power decreases significantly.
- Foam Filter (Wet): Rinse with water and allow to air dry completely before storage or next use.
Canister Cleaning
The stainless steel canister can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure the interior is dry before storing, especially after wet pickup.
Hose and Accessory Care
Inspect the hose and accessories regularly for blockages or damage. Clear any obstructions to maintain optimal performance.
