2. Setup and Programming

This section provides instructions for initial setup and programming of your Somfy Telis 1 RTS Patio Remote with your motorized product.

2.1 Initial Pairing

1. Power On: Ensure only the motor you wish to program is powered on.
2. Initiate Programming Mode: On the remote, simultaneously press and hold both the ▲ and ▼ buttons until the motorized product performs a brief "jog" (a short in-and-out movement). This indicates the product is in programming mode.
3. Check Direction: Press the ▼ button to confirm the product moves outward (or downward). If it moves inward (or upward), the direction needs to be reversed.
4. Set Inner Limit: Press and hold the ▲ button to move the product to your desired inner (fully retracted/up) limit. Release the button when the desired position is reached.
5. Set Outer Limit: Press and hold the My button and the ▼ button simultaneously until the product begins to move outward (or downward). Release the buttons. Use the My button to stop the product at your desired outer (fully extended/down) limit. Adjustments can be made using the Up/Down buttons if needed.
6. Confirm Limits: Press and hold the My button and the ▲ button simultaneously until the product begins to move inward (or upward). Release the buttons. Immediately press the My button to stop the product.
7. Finalize Programming: On the back of the remote, use a small tool (like a paperclip) to press and hold the Program button until the motorized product performs a brief "jog". This confirms the limits are set and programming is complete.

3. Operating Instructions

• Up (▲): Press to raise or retract your motorized product.
• Down (▼): Press to lower or extend your motorized product.
• My: This button serves two primary functions:
  • Stop: During movement, press the My button to stop the product at its current position.
  • Favorite Position: Once a favorite "My" position is programmed, a quick press of the My button will move the product to this pre-set position.
