5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Lavor XTR 1007 pressure washer.
5.1 After Each Use
- Clean the Exterior: Wipe down the machine with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
- Drain Water: Ensure all water is drained from the pump and hoses, especially before storing in freezing temperatures. Run the machine for a few seconds with the water supply off and trigger open to clear residual water.
- Clean Nozzles: Clear any blockages from the nozzle using the provided nozzle cleaning tool (if included) or a thin wire.
5.2 Periodic Maintenance
- Water Inlet Filter: Regularly check and clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and clean or replace the fuel filter for the boiler as needed.
- Descaling: For hot water pressure washers, regular descaling of the boiler coil is crucial to prevent mineral buildup, especially in areas with hard water. Consult a qualified technician for this procedure or use recommended descaling agents. Failure to descale can lead to reduced performance and damage.
- Oil Level: Check the pump oil level periodically and replenish or change according to the manufacturer's recommendations (if applicable).
5.3 Storage
- Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free environment.
- Ensure all hoses and accessories are neatly stored to prevent damage.
- If storing for an extended period, consider using a pump protector or antifreeze solution to prevent internal corrosion and freezing.
