1. Prepare the Door

2. Install the Latch

3. Install the Knobs
Align the posts of the exterior knob with the holes in the latch. Slide the exterior knob into place. Then, align the interior knob and secure it to the exterior knob using the provided screws.
4. Install the Strike Plate
On the door frame, align and install the strike plate where the latch bolt will engage when the door is closed. Secure with screws.
Rekeying the Lock (SmartKey Cylinder)
The SmartKey cylinder allows you to rekey your lock to a new key in three easy steps. This is useful if you lose a key or want to match your lock to other SmartKey locks.
- Insert your functioning key fully into the cylinder and turn it 90 degrees clockwise.
- Insert the SmartKey rekeying tool fully into the SmartKey hole. Apply firm pressure and remove the rekeying tool.
- Remove your functioning key. Insert your new key fully into the cylinder and turn it 180 degrees counter-clockwise. Your lock is now rekeyed.
