Operating Instructions

Understanding Operating Modes

The power strip has several operating modes, cycled by pressing the MODE button:

  • ON: All timed outlets are continuously ON.
  • OFF: All timed outlets are continuously OFF.
  • AUTO: Timed outlets operate according to your programmed ON/OFF settings. This is the standard mode for automated operation.
  • RANDOM: Timed outlets turn ON and OFF randomly within a set period, providing a security feature.

Programming ON/OFF Times

The power strip allows for up to 8 ON/OFF programs. Each program controls all four timed outlets simultaneously.

Manual Override

While in AUTO mode, pressing the MODE button will cycle through ON, OFF, AUTO, and RANDOM modes. This allows for temporary manual control of the timed outlets without erasing programmed settings. To return to automated operation, press MODE until "AUTO" is displayed.

Using Always-On Outlets

The four outlets on the right side of the power strip are always active when the power strip is plugged into a live wall outlet. These outlets are not affected by the digital timer's settings and are suitable for devices that require continuous power.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Unplug the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive chemicals.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the power strip in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or settings are lost frequently during power interruptions, the internal backup battery may need replacement. Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for battery type and replacement procedure.
