Model: BD-V3200L-N | Brand: Hitachi

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Hitachi 10.0kg Drum-Type Washer Dryer, model BD-V3200L-N. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the appliance and keep it for future reference.

Key Features

Wind Iron Technology for Wrinkle Reduction

Experience reduced wrinkles with the innovative Wind Iron technology. High-speed airflow, reaching approximately 300 km/h, smooths out creases, minimizing the need for ironing. This low-temperature drying process is gentle on heat-sensitive garments, preventing shrinkage.

Note: The effectiveness of wrinkle reduction may vary depending on the load size, fabric type, and other items dried together. It does not completely eliminate all wrinkles.

Big Drum Design for Powerful Washing

The large 61cm diameter Big Drum lifts clothes high and drops them, creating a powerful beating wash action that effectively removes dirt. A jet fan motor generates high-speed airflow to smooth out wrinkles during drying.

Advanced Washing Power with Sensor Control

The Sensor Big Drum Washing system utilizes three sensors (3D acceleration, fabric load, and rotation speed) to optimize drum rotation for maximum washing effectiveness. The fabric load sensor also controls water volume. The Circulation Double Shower sprays detergent solution from both sides at 26L/min (13L/min per side) to thoroughly penetrate clothes. The Hot High Washing feature warms clothes with warm air to activate detergent enzymes, enhancing cleaning power (adds approx. 13 minutes to cycle).

Energy and Water Efficiency

Equipped with Hitachi's energy-saving technologies, including Heat Recycle Drying, which reuses heat generated by the main motor and jet fan. The new high-performance motor enables high-speed spin-drying to remove more water, reducing drying time and energy consumption. Drum Posture Control minimizes wrinkles and uneven drying by gently shifting clothes back and forth. Water-saving features include the Circulation Double Shower and Spin Spray Rinse, which use less water for effective rinsing. The 2-way Dehumidification method optimizes heat efficiency for drying, using air-cooling dehumidification for water saving and water-cooling dehumidification for specific courses like deodorization/sterilization.

Steam Iron Function

The Steam Iron function quickly removes wrinkles and odors from dry clothes (up to 1kg), such as two shirts in about 15 minutes. It's ideal for busy mornings, saving time on ironing before going out. It can also fluff up towels that have been line-dried.

Note: This function is for dry clothes up to 1kg. It does not provide the same pressed finish as an iron. Wrinkle removal effectiveness varies by fabric. Not all odors can be removed. Not suitable for items that cannot be tumble dried.

Cleanliness Features

The appliance offers waterless deodorization and sterilization courses for items up to 1kg that are sensitive to shape distortion. The Nano Titanium Powerful Deodorizing Drying Filter and warm air sterilization provide a clean finish without chemicals. It also addresses pollen and mold concerns. The Aller-Off function removes pollen from clothes (up to 2kg) in about 10 minutes after outdoor drying. The Tub Drying Course helps prevent mold growth inside the drum, and the Tub Washing course cleans the drum interior.

  • Appliance not starting: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if the water supply is turned on. Ensure the door is properly closed.
  • Excessive vibration or noise: Verify that the appliance is level and that all transit bolts (if applicable) have been removed. Ensure the laundry load is balanced inside the drum.
  • Poor washing/drying performance: Check if the filters (drying and lint) are clean. Ensure you are using the correct amount of detergent for the load size and water hardness. For drying, avoid overloading the machine.
  • Error codes: If an error code appears on the display, consult the full user manual (often provided on DVD or online) for specific instructions related to that code. The "Alert Guide" may also provide initial guidance.
