5. Setup & Installation
This section outlines the steps for safely installing your wall mount. It is recommended that two people perform the installation.
5.1 Tools Required (Not Included)
- Stud finder (for wood stud installation)
- Drill with appropriate drill bits
- Level

5.2 Attaching TV Brackets to Your TV
- Carefully place your TV face-down on a soft, clean surface to prevent screen damage.
- Identify the VESA mounting holes on the back of your TV.
- Select the correct screws, washers, and spacers from the hardware kit that fit your TV's mounting holes. Refer to your TV's manual for recommended screw sizes.

5.3 Mounting the Wall Plate to the Wall
- Determine Mounting Location: Choose a location on the wall where you want to mount your TV. Consider viewing height and proximity to power outlets.
- Locate Studs (for wood stud installation): Use a stud finder to locate the centers of two adjacent wood studs. Mark these locations with a pencil. The wall plate is designed to span two studs.
- Position Wall Plate: Hold the wall plate against the wall at the desired height. Use a level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the drill holes through the wall plate onto the wall.
- Drill Pilot Holes:
- For Wood Studs: Drill pilot holes into the center of the marked studs using a drill bit slightly smaller than the lag bolts.
- For Concrete/Brick Walls: Drill pilot holes using a masonry drill bit. Insert wall anchors into the drilled holes until flush with the wall surface.
- Secure Wall Plate: Align the wall plate with the drilled holes. Insert the lag bolts (for wood studs) or concrete anchors and screws (for concrete/brick) through the wall plate and into the pilot holes. Tighten all bolts securely with a socket wrench. Do not overtighten to avoid stripping.

5.4 Hanging the TV on the Wall Plate
- With assistance, carefully lift the TV (with attached brackets) and hook the TV brackets onto the top edge of the wall plate.
- Gently lower the TV until the brackets are fully seated on the wall plate.
- Locate the safety screws or locking mechanisms at the bottom of the TV brackets. Secure these to prevent the TV from accidentally lifting off the wall plate.
- Perform a gentle pull test to ensure the TV is securely mounted.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your wall mount.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Over time, vibrations or movement can cause fasteners to loosen.
- Damage Check: Inspect the mount for any signs of damage, corrosion, or wear. If any damage is observed, do not use the mount and contact your retailer for advice.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| TV is not level | Wall plate was not installed level. | Remove TV, loosen wall plate bolts, adjust with a level, and re-tighten. Re-hang TV. |
| TV does not fit the mount | Incorrect VESA pattern or TV size. | Verify your TV's VESA pattern and weight against the mount's specifications (max 750x450 VESA, 165 lbs). |
| Tilt adjustment is loose or stiff | Adjustment knobs/bolts are not properly tightened or lubricated. | Ensure adjustment knobs/bolts are tightened after setting the desired tilt. If stiff, a small amount of silicone lubricant may be applied to moving parts (avoiding contact with TV). |
| Missing hardware | Package contents incomplete. | Contact your retailer for replacement parts. |
