Operating Instructions
The Casdon Dyson DC22 Toy Vacuum Cleaner features a dual-mode switch for different play experiences.
Power Switch and Modes
- Off Position: The central position of the switch turns the unit off.
- Mode 1 (Simulated Cyclone Action): Moving the switch to one side activates the simulated cyclone action. This causes the colorful beads within the clear canister to spin, mimicking the visual effect of a real vacuum cleaner. In this mode, there is no suction.
- Mode 2 (Working Suction): Moving the switch to the other side activates the working suction feature. This mode is designed to pick up small, lightweight debris such as small pieces of paper or poly beads. In this mode, the colorful beads do not spin.

Maintenance
Emptying the Debris Bin
The toy vacuum features a removable dustbin at the back. When small debris is collected, the bin can be detached and emptied. This allows for continuous play.

General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior surfaces of the toy with a damp cloth as needed. Do not immerse the unit in water.
Troubleshooting
- Unit does not turn on:
Ensure that 4 x C batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity and are not depleted. Check the power switch is moved fully to one of the operating modes.
- Weak or no suction:
The toy vacuum is designed for light suction to pick up very small, lightweight debris. It is not intended for strong suction like a full-sized vacuum cleaner. Ensure the debris bin is not full and the hose/attachments are clear of blockages.
- Buttons are not functional:
Certain buttons, such as the cord retract button and the main power button on the handle, are decorative and do not have functional operation. The primary power and mode selection is controlled by the dual-mode switch.
- Hose appears flimsy:
The flexible hose is made of lightweight plastic. Handle with care to prevent kinking or damage.
