- Damper and Duct Collar (4-inch round)
- User Manual (this document)
Installation
The Air King BFQ110 features a snap-in installation system designed for ease of assembly. The fan is suitable for ceiling mounting and requires a 4-inch round ducting connection.
Required Tools and Materials (Not Included):
- Screwdriver
- Drill
- Measuring Tape
- Utility Knife or Saw
- Wire Strippers
- Electrical Tape
- Mounting Screws or Nails (for bracket)
- Ducting (4-inch round)
- Duct Tape or Clamps
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Opening: Ensure the ceiling opening is approximately 9-1/8 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches deep. The fan unit itself measures 11.62"D x 10.75"W x 5.25"H.
- Attach the Mounting Bracket: Secure the included mounting bracket to a ceiling joist using appropriate screws or nails. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached and level.
- Connect Ducting: Attach the 4-inch round ducting to the fan's duct collar. Use duct tape or clamps to ensure a secure and airtight connection. The plastic duct collar includes a back draft damper to prevent air from re-entering the room.
- Snap-In the Fan Housing: Align the fan housing with the installed mounting bracket and snap it into place. The design allows for easy engagement with the bracket.
- Connect Wiring: Connect the electrical wiring according to local codes. The fan operates on 120 Volts. Wire nuts and a Romex connector are included. Ensure the circuit is GFCI protected if installing over a tub or shower.
- Install the Grille: Once the fan is securely mounted and wired, attach the white polymeric grille. The grille is designed for easy fitting.
