3. Setup
3.1 Receiver Placement and Connections
- Placement: Position the CR277 receiver in a location free from obstructions and away from other electronic devices that may cause interference. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Antennas: Extend the two antennas on the rear of the receiver fully and position them at a 45-degree angle for optimal signal reception.
- Power Connection: Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC input on the rear of the receiver and plug it into an AC power outlet.
- Audio Output: Connect the receiver's audio outputs to your mixer, amplifier, or PA system.
- Use the balanced XLR outputs for long cable runs and professional connections.
- Use the unbalanced 1/4-inch output for shorter cable runs or connections to consumer-level equipment.
3.2 Transmitter (Microphone) Setup
- Battery Installation: Unscrew the bottom portion of each HT7 handheld transmitter. Insert a fresh 9V battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Securely reattach the bottom portion.
- Power On: Locate the power switch on each HT7 transmitter and slide it to the "ON" position. The LED indicator on the transmitter should illuminate briefly.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On the System
- Ensure the receiver is connected to power and audio outputs.
- Turn on the CR277 receiver using the power button on the front panel. The power indicator LED will light up.
- Turn on both HT7 handheld transmitters.
4.2 Channel Synchronization and Volume Control
The Concert 277 system features automatic frequency matching. Once the receiver and transmitters are powered on, they should automatically synchronize to the correct channels (N1 and N2).
- RF Level Indicators: Observe the multi-segment RF level LED meters on the receiver's front panel for each channel (Ch 1 and Ch 2). These indicate the strength of the wireless signal.
- Audio Peak Indicators: The peak audio indicators will light up when the audio signal from the microphone is too strong, potentially causing distortion. Adjust the microphone's gain or your mixer's input level if this occurs.
- Volume Knobs: Use the two large rotary volume knobs on the receiver's front panel to adjust the output level for each channel independently. Start with these at a low setting and gradually increase to a comfortable listening level.

4.3 Microphone Usage Tips
- Hold the microphone approximately 2-6 inches from your mouth for optimal vocal pickup.
- Avoid covering the microphone grille with your hand, as this can affect sound quality and cause feedback.
- Be mindful of proximity effect: holding the microphone closer will increase bass response.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the receiver and transmitters. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For microphone grilles, a soft brush can be used to remove debris.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V batteries in the HT7 transmitters when the battery indicator on the transmitter or receiver shows low power. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries. Remove batteries if the system will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
