The keypad is equipped with an integrated battery indicator light. This light will illuminate or change color to notify you when the batteries are running low, indicating that they should be replaced soon to ensure uninterrupted operation.

Cleaning the Keypad

To maintain the cleanliness and functionality of your keypad:

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution.
  • Wipe down the keys and the surface of the keypad gently.
  • Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keypad or allowing moisture to seep into the gaps between keys.
  • For dust accumulation, especially between keys, use compressed air or a small brush.

Troubleshooting

  • Keypad not responding:
    • Ensure the Nano USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer.
    • Check the battery indicator light. If it's low or off, replace the AAA batteries.
    • Verify that the ON/OFF switch on the underside of the keypad is in the "ON" position.
    • Confirm that the PC/MAC switch is set to the correct operating system for your device.
    • Try plugging the USB receiver into a different USB port.
  • Keys not functioning correctly (e.g., Tab/Backspace issues):
    • Ensure the PC/MAC switch on the underside of the keypad is correctly set for your operating system (Windows/Chromebook or macOS).
  • Intermittent connection:
    • Ensure the keypad is within the effective wireless range (up to 10 meters or 33 feet) of the USB receiver.
    • Minimize obstructions between the keypad and the receiver.
