3.2 KRUPS Compact Thermoblock System (CTS)
The EA 8250 features the KRUPS Compact Thermoblock System, which ensures rapid heating and optimal temperature stability for every brew. Key aspects include:
- Brewing Unit (Aluminum) and Brew Head (Stainless Steel): Designed for excellent heat transfer and retention, ensuring coffee is consistently pressed.
- Hydraulic Tamping System: Guarantees optimal tamping pressure (up to 30kg) for perfect extraction, allowing oils and aromas to fully develop.
- Perfect Taste and High Temperatures: The heating element is located directly on the brew head, ensuring the brew head is at the optimal temperature from the first cup. Heated water flows a short distance to the coffee, and into a pre-heated brew head.
- Cleaning: Automatic cleaning program with 360 cycles (using cleaning tablet XS3000). The program cleans the entire circuit, including the brew head. During coffee preparation, 8-9 bar pressure is applied in the brew head. After brewing, residual pressure is released, and remaining water (mixed with coffee fats) is discharged into the drip tray. This ensures thorough cleaning of the brew head.
