Care and Maintenance
1. Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. The drip tray has a bobber indicator that rises when it needs emptying.
- K-Cup Holder & My K-Cup: After each use, remove and rinse the K-Cup holder and reusable My K-Cup.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Water Tank: Rinse the water tank periodically.
Note: The coffeemaker is not dishwasher safe.
2. Water Filter Replacement
The charcoal water filter should be replaced approximately every two months, or after 60 tank refills, to ensure optimal water quality and beverage flavor. Refer to the filter packaging for specific replacement instructions.
3. Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (scale) can build up in your coffeemaker, affecting performance and taste. Descale your coffeemaker every 3-6 months, depending on water hardness and usage. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffeemakers, following the product's instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio) can be used for descaling, followed by several rinse cycles with fresh water.
