2. Initial Time Synchronization
After inserting the battery, the clock will automatically begin searching for the DCF77 radio signal. This process may take several minutes. During this time, the hands will typically move to the 12 o'clock position and then adjust to the correct time.
- Place the clock near a window or in an open area to facilitate better signal reception.
- Avoid placing the clock near electronic devices that may cause interference.
3. Mounting
The Mebus Funkwanduhr 52 451 is designed for wall mounting. Use a suitable screw or hook (not included) to securely hang the clock on your desired wall location.
Operating Instructions
Automatic Time Setting
Your Mebus wall clock is equipped with a radio-controlled movement that receives the DCF77 signal from Frankfurt, Germany. This ensures that the clock always displays the precise time.
- The clock automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time (summer/winter time changes). No manual adjustment is required.
- If the clock loses signal, it will attempt to resynchronize periodically.
Alarm Function
This model features an alarm function. Please refer to the specific markings or buttons on the clock face or back for setting and activating the alarm. Typically, there is a dedicated alarm setting knob and an ON/OFF switch.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the clock's finish or internal components.
Battery Replacement
When the clock hands stop moving or the time becomes inaccurate, it is time to replace the battery. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section. Always use a fresh AA battery.
Troubleshooting
- Clock not setting time: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and fresh. Move the clock to a location with better radio signal reception, away from potential interference sources like televisions, computers, or large metal objects. Allow up to 24 hours for the clock to receive the signal, especially in areas with weak reception.
- Clock stops or runs slow: Replace the battery with a new AA battery.
- Alarm not working: Check if the alarm is properly set and activated. Ensure the battery has sufficient power.
