Setup
Loading the CO2 Cartridge
- Ensure the pistol is on 'Safe' mode. The safety lever is located above the trigger guard.
- Locate the CO2 cartridge compartment in the pistol grip.
- Insert a 12-gram CO2 cylinder into the compartment.
- Tighten the tensioner plug at the bottom of the grip until the CO2 cartridge is pierced and sealed. Do not overtighten.
Loading BBs into the Magazine
- Press the magazine release button to remove the 15-shot magazine from the pistol grip.
- Pull down the spring follower on the magazine.
- Insert .177 caliber BBs into the loading port on the front of the magazine.
- Once loaded, release the spring follower to tension the BBs.
- Insert the loaded magazine back into the pistol grip until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions
Firing the Pistol
- Ensure the pistol is loaded with BBs and a CO2 cartridge.
- Point the pistol in a safe direction towards your target and a secure backstop.
- Move the safety lever from 'Safe' to 'Fire' mode (red dot visible).
- Aim using the white dot front sight and black rear sight. Align the white dot within the rear sight notch.
- Gently squeeze the trigger to fire. The blowback action will cycle the slide with each shot.
Safety Features
- Manual Safety: Located above the trigger guard, it prevents accidental firing when engaged.
- Decocking Lever: Positioned on the front of the pistol, this lever allows for safe decocking of the hammer.
- Locking Slide: The slide locks back after the last BB is fired, indicating an empty magazine.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Daisy Powerline 5501. Always ensure the pistol is unloaded and on 'Safe' before performing any maintenance.
- Lubrication: Apply a drop of pellgun oil to the top of each CO2 cartridge before insertion to lubricate the seals and internal mechanisms.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the pistol with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- Storage: Store the pistol in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and unauthorized users. Do not store with a CO2 cartridge inserted.
