Setup

1. Battery Installation

The DigiScale 50 is supplied with batteries. If replacement is needed:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the scale.
2. Open the compartment cover.
3. Insert new batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Power On

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale. The display will show "8888" and then "0.00" or "0.0" with the current unit.

Operating Instructions

1. Weighing an Item

1. Ensure the scale is powered on and displaying "0.00".
2. Hold the scale by its handle.
3. Carefully attach the item to be weighed to the hanging hook.
4. Wait for the display to stabilize. The weight will be shown.
5. The scale features a data hold function, which will lock the stable weight reading on the display.

2. Changing Weighing Units

With the scale powered on, press the SET button repeatedly to cycle through the available units: kg (kilograms), lb (pounds), oz (ounces), and °C (Celsius for temperature display).

3. Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to weigh items in a container by subtracting the container's weight.

1. Hang the empty container on the hook.
2. Wait for the display to stabilize.
3. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00".
4. Place the item to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the item.

4. Using the Measuring Tape

The DigiScale 50 includes a retractable measuring tape for convenience. Gently pull the tape from its housing to extend it. After use, guide it back into the housing.

5. Automatic Shutdown

To conserve battery life, the scale will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.

Maintenance

• Clean the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Store the scale in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
• If the scale will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
