4.1 Front Panel

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
  2. Insert one (1) AA Mignon/LR06 battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Initial Setup and Radio Control Synchronization

After inserting the battery, the clock will automatically attempt to synchronize with the DCF-77 radio signal. This process may take several minutes to a few hours, depending on your location and signal strength. During synchronization, the second hand may stop or move erratically until the signal is successfully received.

  • Place the clock near a window for better signal reception.
  • Avoid placing it near electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., TVs, computers, mobile phones).
  • Once synchronized, the clock will display the correct time and automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST).
  • A radio-controlled icon on the display (if present) will indicate successful signal reception.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Time Display

The clock features an analog display with hour, minute, and second hands. The time is automatically set and adjusted via the DCF-77 radio signal.

6.2 Setting the Alarm

  1. Locate the alarm setting dial or button on the side or rear of the clock.
  2. Rotate the dial or press the button to move the alarm hand to your desired alarm time.

6.3 Activating/Deactivating the Alarm

  1. To activate the alarm, slide the Alarm ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position.
  2. To deactivate the alarm, slide the Alarm ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.

6.4 Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the large Snooze/Light button (usually on top or side) to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5-10 minutes.

6.5 Backlight

Press the Snooze/Light button to activate the backlight for a few seconds, allowing you to view the time in the dark.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth.

7.2 Battery Replacement
