6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Heiden watch winder, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use the included microfiber cloth to gently wipe the exterior and interior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Placement: Place the winder on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
- Watch Pillow: Periodically check the watch pillow for wear and tear. Ensure it remains soft and supportive for your watch.
7. Troubleshooting
Winder Not Operating:
- Ensure the AC adapter is securely plugged into both the winder and a working wall outlet.
- If using batteries, check that they are correctly installed with the proper polarity and are not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Confirm the power button on the front of the winder has been pressed to the 'On' position.
Watch Not Winding:
- Verify that your watch is an automatic movement watch.
- Check the winding settings (TPD and direction) against your watch manufacturer's recommendations. Adjust as needed.
- Ensure the watch is securely seated on the watch pillow and not obstructing the rotation.
Compatibility Note:
Watch winders are generally not compatible with Seiko Kinetic Watches. The winding mechanism for Seiko Kinetic watches differs from traditional automatic movement watches. This winder is designed for standard automatic watches.
