3. Setup and First Use

4. Operating Instructions
Setting the Temperature:
- Plug the iron into a suitable mains socket.
- Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type (refer to garment care labels).
- The LED indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.
Steam Ironing:
Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics except synthetics and silk. Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Set the temperature control dial to the steam zone (usually between '••' and 'MAX').
- Once the LED indicator light turns off, slide the steam control to the desired steam output.
- For an extra burst of steam, press the Steam Shot button. This is useful for stubborn creases.
- For vertical steaming (e.g., curtains, hanging garments), hold the iron vertically and press the Steam Shot button.

Dry Ironing:
For dry ironing, set the steam control slider to the 'dry ironing' position (no steam symbol). Select the appropriate temperature for the fabric.
Spray Function:
Press the Spray button to moisten stubborn creases. Ensure the water tank contains water.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your iron and ensure optimal performance.
Cleaning the Soleplate:
- After use, allow the iron to cool completely.
- Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaner, if necessary.
- Do not use abrasive scourers or chemical cleaners as these can damage the soleplate.
Anti-Calc / Self-Clean Function:
The iron features a dual cleaning function with a self-clean system and calc-clean to prevent limescale buildup.
- Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
- Set the steam control to 'no steam' and the temperature dial to 'MAX'.
- Plug in the iron and wait until the indicator light turns off.
- Unplug the iron.
- Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
- Activate the self-clean function (refer to the specific button/lever on your iron, usually marked 'Self Clean' or 'Calc Clean'). Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying away scale particles.
- Shake the iron gently until the water tank is empty.
- Heat the iron again to dry the soleplate.
Storage:
- After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Wrap the power cord around the cord storage area.
- Store the iron upright in a safe, dry place.
