Upon unboxing your Fenix PD20, please ensure all the following items are present:

Setup
Battery Installation
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Insert one (1) 3V CR123A Lithium battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Screw the tail cap back on by turning it clockwise until it is securely tightened. Ensure the O-ring is properly seated to maintain waterproof integrity.
Note: Batteries are not included with the flashlight. Use only high-quality CR123A Lithium batteries.
Operating Instructions
Turning On/Off
- To turn the flashlight ON, fully press the tail cap switch until a click is heard.
- To turn the flashlight OFF, fully press the tail cap switch again until a click is heard.
Changing Output Modes
The Fenix PD20 features two main modes: General Mode and Turbo Mode, each with multiple output levels. To switch between modes, lightly press the tail cap switch (without clicking) or twist the head of the flashlight.
General Mode:
- Low (9 lumens): Provides up to 35 hours of runtime.
- Mid (47 lumens): Provides up to 6.5 hours of runtime.
- High (94 lumens): Provides up to 2.6 hours of runtime.
- SOS: A signaling mode for emergencies.
Turbo Mode:
- Turbo (180 lumens): Provides up to 1 hour of runtime.
- Strobe: A disorienting flash mode.
Note: The flashlight remembers the last used brightness level in General Mode when turned off and on again.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the threads of the flashlight and the O-rings with a clean cloth.
- Lubrication: Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-rings regularly to maintain waterproof sealing.
- Battery Care: Remove batteries from the flashlight if it will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.
- Lens Care: Clean the lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the anti-reflective coating.
