8. Troubleshooting
Before performing any troubleshooting, always disconnect the tool from the air supply.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Tool does not fire | No air supply; Low air pressure; Safety tip not depressed; No nails in magazine; Trigger malfunction. | Check air hose connection; Increase air pressure to 70-110 PSI; Ensure safety tip is fully depressed against workpiece; Load nails; Contact service if trigger is faulty. |
| Nails jam frequently | Incorrect nail size/type; Damaged nails; Low air pressure; Worn driver blade; Debris in magazine. | Use correct 16 gauge straight finish nails (1"-2.5"); Inspect nails for damage; Increase air pressure; Clear debris from magazine; Contact service for driver blade replacement. |
| Nails not driven deep enough | Low air pressure; Depth adjustment set too shallow; Hard material. | Increase air pressure; Adjust depth setting deeper; Consider using shorter nails for very hard materials. |
| Air leaks | Loose fittings; Damaged O-rings/seals. | Tighten all air fittings; Inspect and replace damaged O-rings or seals. |
