Upon opening the package, verify that all components are present and undamaged. The Freeman PFR2190 Framing Nailer typically includes:
- Pneumatic 21 Degree 3-1/2" Framing Nailer
- Blow Molded Case

Loading Fasteners
The PFR2190 is compatible with 21-degree plastic collated full round head framing nails ranging from 2" to 3-1/2" in length and 0.113" to 0.131" in diameter. To load, pull back the magazine follower, insert a strip of nails into the magazine, and release the follower to secure the nails.

Adjustments
- Tool-Free Depth Adjust: Easily change the driving depth of nails by turning the depth adjustment wheel by hand. This allows for precise nail placement in various materials and for different project requirements.
- 360 Degree Adjustable Exhaust: The exhaust port can be rotated 360 degrees to direct air away from your face or work area, enhancing user comfort and safety.
- No Mar Safety Tip: The tool comes with a no-mar safety tip to prevent damage to the work surface. For aggressive teeth and precision toe nailing, this tip can be removed.

Installing Rafter Hook (Optional)
An optional rafter hook (model 10115) can be installed for convenient hanging of the tool. To install, remove the existing bolt holding the body to the track. Use an M6x1x35 hex bolt and a 1/4 inch split lock washer (if bolt length permits). Insert the new hex bolt through the bracket of the nail gun hanger and the body of the gun, then thread on the original nut. Tighten securely. Ensure the hook is checked for tightness regularly. Rafter hooks are available from toolhangers.com.
Operating the Nailer
Once the tool is set up and connected to an air supply, it is ready for operation. Always ensure the work surface is clear and stable.
- Dual Mode Trigger: The nailer features a dual-mode trigger, allowing for easy switching between single sequential firing for precision applications and bump firing for rapid, high-volume nailing.
- Anti-Dry-Fire Mechanism: This safety feature prevents the tool from firing when the magazine is empty, protecting internal components from damage and indicating when it's time to reload.
- Comfort Grip Handle: The ergonomic design of the handle reduces user fatigue during extended periods of use and improves the accuracy of fastener placement.
