3. Operating Instructions

The METROVAC MB-3 offers two-speed control for versatile drying. Always ensure the pet is comfortable and accustomed to the dryer's sound before full operation.

Powering On and Speed Control:

  1. Initial Power On: Locate the power switches on the unit. The MB-3 features two independent switches, each controlling a 4.0 Peak HP motor.
  2. Low Speed: Flip one switch to the "ON" position to activate a single motor for lower airflow and reduced noise, suitable for sensitive pets or initial drying.
  3. High Speed: For maximum power and faster drying, flip both switches to the "ON" position to engage both motors, providing 8.0 Peak HP.
  4. Drying Technique: Hold the nozzle a safe distance from the pet's skin and coat. Use a sweeping motion to direct airflow, working from the head towards the tail. Pay attention to dense areas of fur.
  5. Safety Note: The dryer operates without a heating element to protect the pet's skin and coat from excessive heat. The air may warm slightly due to motor operation, but it remains safe.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Hose and Nozzle Care: Clean the hose and nozzles as needed to remove any accumulated pet hair or debris.
