Setup
Powering the Device
The Goobay 78325 Battery Tester requires one AAA (Micro) battery for its internal operation (not included). This battery powers the LCD display.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the tester.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert one AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions
Testing Standard Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, N)
- Identify the correct slot for your battery type (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, N). Refer to Figure 2 for guidance.
- Insert the battery into the corresponding slot, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the tester's contacts. For 9V batteries, use the two small contact points at the top.
- The LCD display will immediately show the battery's charge level. The bar graph will indicate "GOOD", "WEAK", or "POOR".
- Remove the battery once the reading is taken.
Testing Button Cell and Photo Batteries (CR123A, CR2, 2CR5, CR-P2, CR-V3)
- For button cell batteries, use the sliding contact on the left side of the tester. Place the battery between the fixed contact and the sliding contact.
- For photo batteries like CR123A, CR2, 2CR5, CR-P2, CR-V3, locate the specific contact points on the left side of the tester. Carefully align the battery terminals with these contacts.
- Apply gentle pressure to ensure good contact.
- Read the charge level on the LCD display.
- Remove the battery once the reading is taken.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the tester. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Avoid getting moisture into the device.
- Storage: Store the tester in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the internal AAA battery to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the internal AAA battery when the LCD display becomes dim or unresponsive.
