1. Introduction

3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. Please read these instructions carefully before beginning.

3.1 System Requirements

• Amplifier/Receiver: Any home audio receiver or amplifier with raw speaker wire outputs.
• Power Output: 10 to 250 watts per channel.
• Speaker Wire: CL3 rated in-wall certified raw speaker wire.

3.2 Choosing a Location

Select a location in your wall that is free from obstructions like electrical wiring, plumbing, or studs. Ensure there is sufficient depth (minimum 3.5625 inches) behind the drywall for the speaker housing.

3.3 Installation Steps

1. Prepare the Opening: Use the provided cut-out template to mark the desired speaker location on the wall. Ensure the template is positioned at least 1/4 inch away from any studs. Carefully cut the rectangular opening (12.75" x 8.75") in the drywall.

2. Run Speaker Wire: Route CL3 rated in-wall speaker wire from your amplifier/receiver to the speaker opening. Leave enough slack for easy connection.
3. Connect Speaker Wires: Connect the speaker wires to the spring-loaded terminals on the back of the speaker. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for all speakers in your system.

4. Insert and Secure Speaker: Carefully insert the speaker into the wall opening. The pressure lock mounting system will clamp tightly to the drywall as you tighten the screws on the front baffle. Do not overtighten.
5. Attach Grill: Once the speaker is securely mounted, attach the removable grill. The fabric scrim inside the grill hides the drivers from view without interfering with sound.
6. Optional Grill Painting: The aluminum grills can be painted to match your decor. Apply paint in thin, even coats to avoid clogging the grill perforations. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next.
