Setup

1. Attaching the Guide Bar and Chain

  1. Ensure the chainsaw is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Using the provided 5mm hex wrench, remove the nuts and washers securing the chain cover.
  3. Remove the chain cover.
  4. Carefully place the saw chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges are facing the correct direction.
  5. Fit the guide bar and chain onto the chainsaw body, aligning the chain with the drive sprocket and the guide bar with its mounting studs.
  6. Replace the chain cover, nuts, and washers. Hand-tighten the nuts initially.

2. Adjusting Chain Tension

  1. The chain should be slightly loose at this stage.
  2. Locate the tensioning pin adjustment screw (often on the side of the chainsaw body).
  3. Use a screwdriver to adjust the tensioning pin. Turn clockwise to tighten the chain, counter-clockwise to loosen.
  4. The chain is correctly tensioned when it can be pulled away from the guide bar by about 2-3mm at the center, but snaps back into place when released. It should also move freely around the guide bar.
  5. Once the tension is correct, fully tighten the nuts securing the chain cover with the hex wrench.

3. Filling with Chain Oil

  • Locate the oil tank cap.
  • Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with the provided 50mL chain oil.
  • Ensure the cap is securely fastened after filling. The automatic oil return mechanism ensures continuous lubrication during operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Starting the Chainsaw

  • Connect the chainsaw to a suitable AC100V power outlet using the 2m power cord.
  • Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands, ensuring a secure grip on the rear handle and front handle.
  • Press the safety switch (often a button or lever that must be engaged before the trigger).
  • Squeeze the trigger switch to start the chain.

2. Cutting Techniques

  • Allow the chain to reach full speed before making contact with the wood.
  • Apply light, steady pressure. Let the chainsaw do the work.
  • For felling small trees or cutting logs, plan your cuts to avoid pinching the guide bar.
  • When trimming branches, support the branch to prevent it from falling unexpectedly.
  • The rear handle design is optimized for powerful cutting of low-lying wood and logs.
  • The front handle is convenient for horizontal cutting, such as felling standing trees.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw.

  • Chain Sharpening: Keep the saw chain sharp for efficient and safe cutting. Refer to a specialized guide or professional service for sharpening.
  • Chain Tension: Periodically check and adjust chain tension. A loose chain can derail, and an overly tight chain can cause premature wear.
  • Cleaning: After each use, clean sawdust and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing. Ensure ventilation openings are clear.
  • Oil Level: Regularly check the chain oil level and refill as needed. The automatic oiling system relies on a sufficient oil supply.
  • Storage: Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children. Ensure the chain cover is in place.
