Automatic Time Setting (WWVB)
Once the signal is received, the clock will default to the Pacific (P) Time Zone. At this time, press the ZONE button to select your current local time zone (available options: ET, CT, MT, PT).
It may take up to 5 nights for the proper WWVB radio frequency to connect to the clock. Position the clock in the direction of the WWVB tower (Fort Collins, Colorado) until the Tower Icon appears on the clock (not flashing, but constant).
Manual Time Setting
If you wish to set the time manually or if the atomic signal is not available, follow these steps:
- Press the WWVB SEARCH button to stop the initial atomic time search. The clock will begin searching again after midnight.
- Hold the SET button to enter the settings menu.
- Press the + or - buttons to adjust values. Hold to advance quickly.
- Press the SET button to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Press the LIGHT button to exit the settings menu.
The settings menu order is: 12/24 hour > Hour > Minutes > Year > Month > Date > DST On/Off. The Weekday will automatically adjust when Year, Month, and Date are set.

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button for a 5-minute snooze. The alarm icon will show when it is activated.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or unresponsive. Always use fresh, standard alkaline AA batteries.
- Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
- Placement: For optimal atomic signal reception, place the clock away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
Troubleshooting
Blank screen, missing numbers/letters, dashed lines?
- If the clock appears distorted or not responding to pressed buttons, use a pen or paper clip to press the RESET button once. This will reset the clock to default settings.
- Ensure you are using brand-name, standard alkaline batteries. The expiration date should be at least 6 years in advance of the present year, or measure 1.48V on a voltmeter.
- Remove batteries (2 AA alkaline). Press any button (without batteries) 20 times to discharge any remaining static current. Install fresh batteries, verifying correct polarity (+ and -).
Displaying wrong Hour? Or, Daylight Savings time changes?
- Verify the WWVB atomic time Tower Icon appears next to the minutes (Upper Right Corner) and is not flashing, but constant.
- Verify your Time Zone selection is correct for your current location (E = Eastern, C = Central, M = Mountain, P = Pacific).
- If you are in a location outside the 2,000-mile radius of the WWVB radio frequency tower (Fort Collins, Colorado), your clock may not receive its signal to update to Atomic Time. The clock will still operate like a quartz clock; proceed with manual menu settings to adjust Hour and Minutes to your local time.
- It may take up to 5 nights for proper WWVB radio frequency to connect to the clock. Position the clock in the direction of the WWVB tower until the Tower Icon appears on the clock (not flashing, constant).
- Verify your DST (Daylight Savings Time) setting is selected to On if applicable for your region.
