3. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to prepare your burnisher for operation.
3.1 Handle Assembly
- Unpack all components and ensure all parts are present.
- Connect the two pieces of the 1¼" diameter chromed steel handle. Secure them firmly using the provided fasteners.
- Attach the assembled handle to the main body of the burnisher, ensuring it is securely locked into position.
3.2 Pad Attachment
The burnisher uses a 20-inch floor cleaner pad. Ensure the correct pad type is selected for your specific floor surface and desired finish.
- Tilt the machine back to expose the pad driver.
- Center the 20-inch pad onto the pad driver. Ensure it is flat and securely attached.
- Gently lower the machine back to its operating position.

3.3 Power Connection
Connect the 50-foot, 3-wire grounded power cord (14-gauge) to a suitable grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet matches the voltage requirements of the machine.
4. Operating Instructions
Proper operation ensures optimal performance and safety.
4.1 Starting the Machine
- Ensure the machine is fully assembled and the pad is correctly attached.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet.
- Grip the handle firmly with both hands.
- Engage the power switch, typically located on the handle, to start the motor. The 1.5 HP AC twin capacitor motor will begin rotating the pad.
4.2 Maneuvering and Polishing
The burnisher is designed for smooth operation across various floor types.
- Movement: The four 5-inch non-marking wheels allow for effortless maneuverability. Guide the machine in overlapping passes to ensure even coverage.
- Surface Adaptation: The flexible pad driver helps the machine adapt to different surfaces, providing consistent polishing results.
- Even Finish: The DC rectified motor delivers smooth and consistent power, contributing to an even and professional polish.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your burnisher.
5.1 Cleaning the Machine
After each use, disconnect the power and clean the machine. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Remove and clean the polishing pad according to its specific care instructions.
5.2 Pad and Brush Care
Inspect pads and brushes regularly for wear and tear. Replace worn pads to maintain effective polishing. Clean brushes thoroughly after use to prevent buildup.
5.3 Circuit Breaker
The handle-mounted circuit breaker protects the motor from overload. If the circuit breaker trips, disconnect the power, allow the motor to cool, and then press the reset button on the handle before resuming operation.
6. Troubleshooting
Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.
- Machine does not start:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet.
- Verify the outlet has power.
- Check the handle-mounted circuit breaker and reset if tripped.
- Uneven polishing results:
- Ensure the polishing pad is clean and evenly attached to the pad driver.
- Make sure you are using the correct type of pad for the floor surface.
- Apply even pressure and use overlapping passes during operation.
- Machine is difficult to maneuver:
- Check the non-marking wheels for any obstructions or damage.
