Setup

Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the Superlamp for approximately 12-15 hours. The lamp is powered by an internal 6 Volt lead-gel battery.

1. Locate the charging port on the bottom of the lamp.
2. For Home Charging: Connect the 230 Volt AC home charger to a standard wall outlet and then plug the charger's output into the lamp's charging port.
3. For Car Charging: Connect the 12 Volt car charging cable to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and then plug the other end into the lamp's charging port.
4. The charge indicator light will illuminate during charging.
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger. Do not overcharge the battery for extended periods beyond the recommended time.

Attaching the Carrying Strap

Attach the adjustable carrying strap to the designated loops on the lamp's handle for convenient portability.

Operating Instructions

The Cartrend 80104 Superlamp offers three distinct lighting modes, selectable via the switch located on the handle.

1. Halogen Spotlight Mode:

   This mode activates the central 6 Volt halogen lamp, providing a strong, focused beam for long-distance illumination. Move the switch to the position marked for the main spotlight.

2. LED Surface Light Mode:

   This mode utilizes the 12 white LEDs (15,000 MCD) arranged around the main reflector. It provides a broad, even light distribution suitable for illuminating larger areas with very long operating times. Move the switch to the position for LED operation.

3. Neon Table Lamp Mode:

   To activate the 7 Watt neon tube, rotate the lamp unit to reveal the side-mounted neon light. This mode is ideal for general ambient lighting or as a work light, offering soft, diffused illumination. Move the switch to the position for neon lamp operation.

To turn off the lamp, move the switch to the "OFF" position.

Maintenance

Battery Care

• To prolong battery life, recharge the lamp regularly, even if not in frequent use.
• Avoid completely discharging the battery.
• If storing the lamp for an extended period, charge it every 3 months to maintain battery health.
• The internal lead-gel battery is not user-replaceable. Contact qualified service personnel for battery replacement.

Cleaning

• Ensure the lamp is turned off and disconnected from any power source before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the lamp with a soft, damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the housing or lens.
• Do not spray water directly onto the lamp.

Halogen Bulb Replacement

The halogen bulb is a consumable part and may need replacement over time. A spare 6 Volt / 6 Watt halogen bulb is included.

1. Ensure the lamp is turned off and cool to the touch.
2. Carefully unscrew the front bezel of the lamp.
3. Gently remove the old halogen bulb. Avoid touching the glass of the new bulb with bare hands, as oils can reduce its lifespan. Use a clean cloth or gloves.
4. Insert the new 6 Volt / 6 Watt halogen bulb.
5. Carefully reattach and tighten the front bezel.
