Setup

Battery Installation

The iGaging Height Gauge requires two CR2 batteries (included). An extra battery is also provided.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the digital display unit.
  2. Carefully slide or unscrew the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert the two CR2 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

Initial Power On

Press the ON/OFF button to power on the device. The LCD display should illuminate and show a reading.

Operating Instructions

Basic Measurement

  1. Place the height gauge on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Ensure the measurement foot is clean.
  3. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the gauge.
  4. Press the ZERO button to set the current position as the zero reference. This is typically done with the measurement foot resting on the reference surface.
  5. Carefully raise or lower the digital head until the measurement foot contacts the object you wish to measure.
  6. Read the measurement directly from the digital display.

Unit Conversion

Press the in/mm/F button to cycle through the available measurement units: decimal inches, millimeters, and fractional inches.

Absolute (ABS) and Incremental Measurement

Press the ABS button to switch between Absolute and Incremental measurement modes. In Absolute mode, measurements are taken from a fixed zero point. In Incremental mode, you can set a temporary zero point at any position to measure relative distances.

Hold Function

Press the HOLD button to freeze the current reading on the display. This is useful for recording measurements in difficult-to-view positions. Press HOLD again to release the reading.
